This system helps unite multiple ASG departments, state and local governments, and commercial organizations so they can work together and communicate effectively.
About the Client
American Samoa Government ( ASG )
Due to Covid-19 travel restrictions, many American Samoa residents were displaced and unable to return to their home and communities. Therefore, the American Samoa Government ( ASG) launched its Safe Travel Program and awarded DataHouse to implement TALOFAPASS, powered by LumiSight, to bring residents home.
Project Objectives
The project is to develop a comprehensive solution as a part of American Samoa Government’s Safe Travels Program, to enable travelling to and from American Samoa while still protect the island and people from COVID-19 risks.
The solution contains software development of:
- Web and Mobile application used by Travelers to declare required travel information and report health symptoms as well as quarantine information.
- Screener tool to check-in and review/verify information.
- Administrator Dashboard and Report to manage information and support decision making.
Convenience
User-friendly system design to support the most convenient travel experience from Travelers.
Data Security
Protected data and information to be available only to different group of user who have privilege to review information.
System Utility
Integrated system with multi-component to cover the whole travel journey, prevent the risk and provide an total protection solution.
Result and Technologies
Despite the fact that we faced some challenges during the projects such as Policy and Procedure change on the way of development, different time-zones, and COVID-19 Situation in Vietnam, our team made their best efforts and managed to deliver projects on time and on quality. The TALOFAPASS application enables American Samoa residents and travelers to enter the trip, identity, and vaccination information, schedule a series of COVID-19 tests, and receive a green light to travel.
With a team of UI/UX designers, developers, and one project manager, DataHouse Asia delivered successfully a sustainable and scalable user interface design and corresponding front-end mobile app development using cross-platform technology.
